Marc Marquez recounts nightmare: “I didn’t want to get on a motorcycle anymore.”
Honda centaur Marc Marquez has returned to the frightening accident in Indonesia
Marc Marquez has returned to talk about the frightening accident in Indonesia, which prompted him to subsequently undergo another shoulder operation. During the warm-up, the Catalan rider was the victim of a scary high-side: “After an accident like that it’s true that, all of us being human beings, you don’t want to get on a motorcycle anymore,” he told Bt Sports microphones.
“At that point, however, what takes over is your professionalism, not your passion. I was seeing double, but the head was okay. The decision to operate was right, in the last races of the year I always started on the front row, so the speed is there.”
For Marquez, the winter will now be decisive, both for his physical condition and for the bike to understand: “This winter I will have to work specifically on the muscles that are weaker, so that the shoulder/arm compensation is generally good. I have to overcome this small physical milestone.”
