Virtus Bologna winning again: Sergio Scariolo’s admission

An important success, and one to be highlighted.

Virtus Bologna prevails 85-76 over Alba Berlin and returns to winning ways in the Euroleague after a long European fast. A success that weighs heavily, as Sergio Scariolo admitted at the end of the game without mincing words.

“During the game we were a little tense,” admitted Scariolo, about his Virtus coming off four consecutive Euroleague knockouts. “This happened especially when they were getting close again. We, however, managed to stay cool and focused enough to fend them off.”

“Alba Berlin is a team of quality, intensity and capable of keeping high tempo. Plus they can make use of good shooters. They tried a couple of times to come back, we did well. Winning was very important, but now we have to rest and think about preparing for the next game. That will be in just 48 hours,” Scariolo concluded.
