There is a new twist in the Cristiano Ronaldo affair. The Portuguese champion is currently without a team, and for weeks now there has been talk of his possible transfer to Al Nassr, moreover at incredible sums.

The club’s president, Musli Al-Muammar, surprised everyone by declaring, “The news coming out is not correct, most of what has been written or said in the media are lies.” Sportmediaset reports. It is unclear whether Al-Muammar wants to keep the negotiations confidential or if the words spoken are true.

A few days ago Al Nassr sporting director Marcelo Salazar had said, “I am not authorized to say yes or no regarding this matter. Let’s wait and see how things develop. As you can easily understand, this is a negotiation of a huge magnitude not only for the club, but for the country and for world soccer, and that must be conducted by higher bodies.”
