Juventus, Alex Sandro says goodbye: no ninth season
Alex Sandro landed in Turin in the summer of 2015
After eight long seasons, Juventus and Alex Sandro are reportedly ready to say goodbye. Despite the possibility of an automatic renewal of his expiring contract (upon reaching 40 appearances for the season), the Brazilian is expected to bid farewell to Turin at the end of the current season, barring a twist.
What will be the future of the Brazilian defender remains to be seen. At 32 years old, he can still be very useful (he has many admirers in Italy and Europe). Meanwhile, Juventus would already be looking for a worthy replacement. In the running would be Carlos Augusto, currently under contract with Monza (but also sought by many other top clubs) and 27-year-old Grimaldo, who will leave Benfica in the summer as a zero-parameter player.
