Sofia Goggia and Federica Brignone also shine on TV, as well as on snows around the world. As reported by Fisi, in fact, the free-to-air network (Rai2) that broadcast Sunday the downhill of Crans Montana, won by the Bergamasque with the Valle d’Aosta woman placed second, recorded 992 thousand viewers, with a share of 8.44%. In the meantime, the Italian men’s and women’s teams are preparing for their upcoming World Cup events: the men will be busy in Aspen, Colorado, with two downhill races scheduled for Friday, March 3 (7:30 p.m. Italian time) and Saturday, March 4 (7:00 p.m.), followed by a super-giant on Sunday, March 5 (6:00 p.m.). In attendance are Dominik Paris, Christof Innerhofer, Florian Schieder, Matteo Marsaglia, Guglielmo Bosca, Nicolò Molteni, Mattia Casse, Pietro Zazzi and Giovanni Borsotti.
The women, on the other hand, will be on stage in Kvitfjell, Norway, where three speed races will be held over the weekend. They begin Friday, March 3, with a supergiant (10:30 a.m.), followed Saturday, March 4, by a downhill (11 a.m.) and Sunday, March 5, by another supergiant (10:30 a.m.). The Italian team, which in Kvitfjell boasts only a second and a third place achieved with Isolde Kostner in the downhill on March 6, 1996, and in the supergiant the following day, has nine athletes at the start: Elena Curtoni, Roberta Melesi, Karoline Pichler, Nadia Delago, Nicol Delago, Marta Bassino, and Laura Pirovano, as well as Federica Brignone and Sofia Goggia.
