Virtus Bologna, Sergio Scariolo counts the number of unavailable players
Abass out for three weeks
Sergio Scariolo, to Virtus Bologna’s official channels, presented the Euroleague challenge against Efes, scheduled for Thursday at the Sinan Erdem Sports Hall. A complicated challenge both for the caliber of the opponent and for the bad news coming from the infirmary: to the list of absentees, which includes Cordinier, Pajola and Teodosic, Awudu Abass was also added after the match against Maccabi, who will be out for at least three weeks due to a first-degree injury to the long adductor of the left thigh.
“We are playing against the bi-champions of Europe, who come from a great game against Milan,” said Scariolo. “They have recovered all their potential: we will have to put in a great effort to be a tough opponent and to put them in trouble on both sides of the court with good defense, fast as well as offense where we will have to share the ball well to create open shots. We want to stay in the game and honor our participation in the Euroleague and there is no better court than that of the defending champions to do that.”
