MotoGp, Bagnaia-Martin duel: Ducati denies favoritism
Ducati dominates the length and breadth of the MotoGp weekend in Germany and enjoys the duel between Pecco Bagnaia and Jorge Martin, won by the Spaniard, without any particular qualms. A clash between the two for the world title looms on the horizon, but Ducati Corse CEO Claudio Domenicali tells Sky he is calm about what may happen in the future.
“This is a result that is worth more than anything else, on a circuit that moreover was not indicated for Ducati. This underlines the work done by the guys who made a balanced, extraordinary bike. We saw a spectacular race, Jorge and Pecco showed us how to really ride.”
No favoritism for either rider: “Jorge is one of our riders, he has an official bike the same as Pecco. We have noticed his growth and he is a rider we can certainly count on for the future. This year he is showing tremendous growth and maturity. He has not won the races that Pecco won, but he has been more consistent. He shows that he is really strong, the results speak for themselves: we built a project starting from afar at times when it was difficult.”
