Quartararo starts summer break on crutches: ‘El Diablo’ explains incident with Zarco
Fabio Quartararo on crutches after visiting the medical center
Third place in the Sprint race will remain Fabio Quartararo’s only positive memory this year at Assen: in fact, in the race, ‘El Diablo’ was the protagonist of a deficit start and shortly afterwards of an accident that also involved compatriot Johann Zarco and that forced him on crutches after a visit to the circuit’s medical center.
“I have a brace on my foot and my arm immobilized,” the Frenchman explained to ‘Sky Sports.’ “I made a bad start, it was the worst of the year because I left the clutch a little too early. It’s a shame, we were fast this weekend…. I wanted to do things right, I ended up overdoing it.”
Quartararo therefore starts the summer break in the worst way: “Tomorrow I will have a checkup, with the doctors: we will see if there is a need for surgery.”
