Jannik Sinner jokes with Daniil Medvedev and returns compliments

Here are the statements of Jannik Sinner after triumphing in the final of the Beijing ATP 500 against Daniil Medvedev, a success that officially earns him the world number 4 in the next ranking, the same quota reached in the’Open Era among Italians by only Adriano Panatta.

“Thank you for letting me win once,” Sinner jokes in response to Medvedev, “and thank you for making me a better player in practice” too. Then he continues: “Thank you to my team, even to those who are not è present. È a title that means a lot to me. We trained so much, we had a lot of expectations”.
