Jorge Martin, Black Friday: ‘I thought I was going to hurt myself’
Hours of bad feelings, then finally some confidence.
Jorge Martin è took home a hard-earned seventh place in pre-qualifying for the Qatar Grand Prix. The Team Pramac Spaniard suffered particularly from the new asphalt at Losail, which forced a change in tire strategies. And not finding the right solution, at one point, even made him fear that his Friday could end with a few too many dangers.
"A bad day, really difficult. I couldn’t make the corners,” Martin confessed to the microphones of 'Sky Sport' -, I didn’t even feel like I was racing a MotoGP bike. Però in the end I at least managed to be fast with the right tires, and that gives me some peace of mind. Becauseé really è it was difficult, I thought I was going to hurt myself. In the end forò I managed to finish the day, and that for me already; è enough".
"There are no setup problems, it’s really the tires. For me they weren’t working, and I always had the feeling of falling off. So I tried to do a few laps, but after 2-3 runs I still couldn’t get them to work properly. The situation è continued, until finally we were able to find the right tires", concluded Martin in his analysis.
