Michelin responds to Jorge Martin

Jorge Martin’s very harsh words towards Michelin have prompted the tire manufacturer, exclusivist for MotoGp until 2026, to reply through the voice of Piero Taramasso, head of Michelin’s racing sector.

"Most of the riders chose the double hard compound – are the words of Taramasso on the sidelines of the weekend in Lusail -, over the weekend in Qatar records were broken and the lap record è was beaten in the last lap of the Gp demonstrating the consistent performance of Michelin tires".

Martin, in Qatar, lost important points by finishing the Grand Prix in 10th place: on the eve of the last race weekend, the one in Valencia, he is 21 lengths behind Pecco Bagnaia. At the end of the race in Qatar he had declared, angrily: "It is not è right that a World Championship is not decided by the riders but by the tires".
