Luka Jovic saves Milan in the 90th minute, Fiorentina expels Monza
Salernitana-Milan 2-2 and Monza-Fiorentina 0-1
In one of the two Friday evening previews of the 17th day of Serie A, AC Milan was saved in the 90's by retaking the 2-2 Salernitana, which had overturned the Rossoneri’s initial lead. In the other match, Fiorentina won by a narrow margin on the field of Monza thanks to a goal by Lucas Beltran, in his third consecutive center.
At the Arechi in Salerno, Milan took the lead through Tomori on 17' who put in a header from a few steps after a Giorud-Pirola carom on a cross from the right by Leao. In the final minutes of the first half, however, came the Granata’s equalizer, with Fazio netting a header on the development of a corner kick. The Campani complete the comeback in the second half with a right-footed Candreva at the first post that pierces Maignan. In the same action Tomori is hurt and goes out with an injury. Milan, however, did not give up and in the 90' retaking the hosts with a flying shot by Jovic, on a Giroud’s bank.
Fiorentina needed only a goal by Beltran to conquer the U-Power Stadium: at 7' Di Gregorio made a mistake in the setting phase and his pass was intercepted by the leg of Beltran, who had only to exult.
With the Salerno draw, Milan moves to 33 points, while Salernitana rises to 9, still in last place. Champions blow for Fiorentina, which rises to 30, momentarily in fourth place, while Monza remains stuck at 21.
