Jannik Sinner’s words at the press conference

Jannik Sinner, speaking at the press conference organized in the new headquarters of the Italian Tennis and Padel Federation to celebrate his success at the Australian Open, spoke clearly about the Sanremo hypothesis: "I willò cheer from home… È a beautiful event, but already being here for two days è so much. I look forward, Australia è it&#39s over. During Sanremo, I will be è already working".

On upcoming goals: "We haven&#39t talked about that yet, the goal was to improve in the Slams compared to last year. The first one è went well, now there are three more. The season è just started, I missed the competition. I was happy to be on the court and I was fine. I will try è at every tournament to go for it, there will be good weeks and less good weeks. But the confidence gained è important".

The South Tyrolean tennis player also spoke clearly about his home in Monte Carlo: "I have been there since I was 18, I was in Bordighera and I moved there. I feel at home, I feel good thereì. There are many tennis players and good courts to train on. I am fine lì".

"Pressure è a privilege. When things are going well you always want more; but I am calm. I am working for goals and dreams: mine was to win a Slam, now I know what it feels like and I want to win more. I want to go on the court again and work, è with the work I won. I want to climb one step at a time, that's the goal. The future è difficult to predict".

"I have not yet thought about being a flag-bearer, but the Games are a key event of the season – he added on the Paris 2024 Olympic Games -.    a time of growth, I want to understand how I will live in a context where I will find the best athletes in the world. They can help me grow. It&#39s going to be one of the most important tournaments of the year, I&#39m excited to play them and hopefully win a lot of medals".

" This è the most important thing, you can play tennis at any age. There'è competition but not contact, you need little to play. It's the most important step as a movement. Fognini won Monte Carlo, then Berrettini, now me. We are all doing something for the future and we hope to bring a lot of kids to play" Sinner commented on the desire to return to tennis in Italy.
