Reggio Emilia has announced its latest acquisition: American center Tarik Black, last season at Olympiakos. "Pallacanestro Reggiana announces that it has reached an agreement until the end of the season with American athlete Tarik Black. A 206-centimeter center, born in 1991, Black has behind him a long militancy in the NBA, where he boasts more than 200 appearances between Houston Rockets and Los Angeles Lakers, before continuing his career in Europe, wearing the Euroleague jerseys of Maccabi Tel Aviv and Zenit St. Petersburg".  

"For him also a stint in Turkey at Bahcesehir, teammate of the red-and-white Jamar Smith, where he won in the 2021-2022 year the FIBA Europe Cup, winning in the final just against UNAHOTELS Reggio Emilia. In the’last season Black è returned to tread the Euroleague parquet floors at’Olympiakos, even making it to the Final Four of the event and reaching the very final, later lost to Real Madrid. His experience in Greece è ended with 9 points and 4.2 rebounds average in 16’".

Coach Priftis è very pleased with his arrival: "Tarik Black è an area player, with great inside presence. He will give us effectiveness and strength under the boards and overall I believe that with his physicality and great experience he will be able to be of great help to us in the last ten matches of this regular season".
