Two weeks after the Portimao Gp, the MotoGP returns to the spotlight with the Grand Prix of the Americas. At the Austin circuit, Ducati centaur Pecco Bagnaia will try to immediately redeem the zero obtained in the race in Portugal due to contact in the final laps with Marc Marquez. A few days before the start of the Texas weekend, in fact, the reigning champion expressed his feelings to the official channels of the team.
"The Grand Prix of the Americas è one of my favorites on the calendar. The track è fantastic, I really like Austin and also the atmosphere of the event è different from usual. I arrive in America motivated and with a lot of desire for redemption: last year we had been competitive all weekend and if I had not crashed we could have won the Sunday race as well. This year I expect a lot of fast riders and it certainly won't be easy, but we have a good base from which to start. In the last GP in Portugal the feeling with the bike was very good, but then during the long race we è missed something. It will beà therefore important to work to prevent it from happening again here" these are the words of Pecco Bagnaia.
To the official channels of the stable of Borgo Panigale, in addition, è intervened also the teammate Enea Bastianini, who will tryà to follow up the excellent second place conquered in Portimao: "I am happy to return to America where last year I had not been able to race because of the’shoulder injury. COTA è a track I really like and where I have good memories of 2022, when I got my second win in MotoGP, my favorite of that year. After the last weekend in Portugal, I arrive in Austin motivated and confident. I expect a very close GP, but we are ready: we arrive with a good basic setup and we know what we need to work on in order to improve; therefore, we aim to be among the protagonists of the weekend again“.
