It's been a really complicated Imola weekend for Lewis Hamilton, who è finished sixth in the Gp dell'Emilia Romagna after struggling for all three days with his Mercedes. The British driver only regained his smile thanks to the Italian fans who warmly welcomed him ahead of his transfer to Ferrari in 2025. The seven-time world champion è was charmed by their affection and thanked them in an interview with Sky.

"I’ve been thinking about this all weekend, and I talked about it with Leclerc as well. A great enthusiasm, they were fantastic", said the British driver. "They are an incredible audience and I can only imagine what it feels like to be one of their drivers and I can’t wait".

For Mercedes, on the other hand, only trouble: "We made some points this è the positive aspect. Let’s say we are in the middle of no man’s land. I don’t think we could have done much more ”.

"I don’t think it’s hard. We are simply at this level and we know it. We will just have to do our best to grow", concluded Hamilton.
