Naples on Good Morning

One of the main issues that will characterize Torino’s summer will surely be the future of Alessandro Buongiorno, whose stay in the shadow of the Mole would not be so obvious given the interest of several top Serie A clubs. After AC Milan, in fact, in recent days, on the granata captain would have come forward even Napoli.

According to reports from "Sky Sport", the partenopei’s new coach Antonio Conte would have identified in the class of 1999 the perfect interpreter to reinforce the new defensive three-man line. The former Chelsea coach, in addition, would have already had direct contact with the player, who would have opened to a hypothetical transfer, while the Azzurri club, in order to satisfy the coach’s demands, would already be in talks with the player’s entourage to find an agreement on the salary and would have already presented Torino with an initial official offer of 35 million euros.

Granata president Urbano Cairo, for his part, would not want to deprive himself of the player for a sum of less than 40 million euros and would be willing to postpone any talk until after the European Championship, in the hope that Buongiorno's performance with Italy could raise the price, generating an upward auction thanks also to the interest of some Premier League clubs.

"I have already said it before, I have not thought about a hypothetical price because I did not put Alessandro on the market. He stayed with us last year and I was delighted with that, he had a remarkable championship, so I am keeping him. Now let&#39s see how the European Championship will go, I wish him the best and I hope he&#39ll be with us again next year to wear the captain&#39s armband; these were the statements made by the granata patròn during a speech to the microphones of the "Gazzetta dello Sport".
