Marco Materazzi dreams of a Valentino Rossi-style Inter and stings Zlatan Ibrahimovic

Former Nerazzurri defender Marco Materazzi gave Gazzetta dello Sport a long interview on the eve of the derby between Inter and Milan. Here are some excerpts, particularly the passages in which he explains why he’s dreaming of an Inter team like Valentino Rossi and launches a jab at Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

"I dream of the seventh consecutive derby victory, I dream of another snub. I dream of an’Inter doing like Valentino Rossi, who when he arrived at Yamaha invented everything to win the first race”.

“He was riding a bike that he would not have won even when pushed. But instead he succeeded. And that success was an incredible signal given to his opponents, as if to say ‘this is who è the champion’.
