Here are the words of Novak Djokovc during the Shanghai Masters 1000 awards ceremony and after the final lost in two sets to Jannik Sinner.
“Thank you to all the fans for supporting me. Every day in front of the’hotel the’welcome’was warm and I have had a lot of success in China in my career but Jannik è was too good for me today”.
“A couple of those guys I know (addressing the Sinner clan, ed.), è also nice to see Roger (Federer, present in the stands, ed.) here, I know he would have liked to be on the court with us!”
