Chapecoense: LaMia flight without gasoline, 3 arrests

The first measures have flowed in for the air tragedy of LaMia Flight 2933, which crashed south of Medellín, Colombia, on Nov. 28, killing 71 people out of a total of 77 passengers, including almost the entire Brazilian Chapecoense team.
Prosecutors in Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Bolivia, where the plane made its initially unscheduled stopover, have ordered the arrest of LaMia airline’s general manager, Gustavo Vargas Gamboa, and two other executives. But Celia Castedo Monasterio, a Bolivian airport official who did not prevent the aircraft from taking off despite irregularities found at the time of the stopover, also faces serious risks and is still under investigation.
Finally, Dgac, the Colombian civil aviation, has confiscated LaMia’s documents and books.
Meanwhile, the South American Cup has been officially awarded to Chapecoense.
