Armand Duplantis adds another piece to an already legendary career: on Saturday night, during the All Star Perche, an annual event dedicated to pole vaulting held since 2016 in Clermont-Ferrand, France, he again broke the overall world record in the specialty, jumping 6 meters and 22 centimeters.

The Swede thus surpasses the previous indoor record, set in Belgrade in 2022, by two centimeters, and also does better than his own outdoor record, which he gave to the statistics in Eugene at last summer’s World Athletics Championships.

Duplantis, born in 1999, has been the absolute ruler of the pole vault since 2018, when he won European gold in Berlin: since then he has won titles everywhere, establishing himself on prestigious stages such as World Championships, Diamond League and Olympic Games.
