NBA, Kyle Lowry says goodbye to Miami Heat and flies to Charlotte Hornets
With the Trade Deadline just weeks away, the Miami Heat are striking a blow in the market to further improve the roster ahead of the playoffs. According to reports from "The Athletic and "ESPN", the Florida franchise has struck a deal with the Charlotte Hornets to move Terry Rozier to coach Erik Spoelstra’s court. In return, Charlotte gets Kyle Lowry and a first-round pick in the 2027 Draft.
The Carolina franchise, for its part, would be intent on seeking another trade for the former NBA champion in a Toronto Raptors jersey by the trade deadline, scheduled for Feb. 8. Otherwise, the parties would try to work out a buyout deal.
Rozier is experiencing, at least statistically, his best season in his career, traveling at an average of more than 23 points with 3.9 rebounds and 6.6 assists. Lowry, conversely, è at his career lows as evidenced by his 8.2 points, 3.5 rebounds and 4 assists in 28 average minutes per game.
