There is no peace for Neymar. The Brazilian star, who returned to wear the Santos jersey during the repair market after a brief stint with Al-Hilal, is forced to stop again due to a muscle injury. The player sustained an injury to the semimembranosus muscle in his left thigh during Santos’ 2-0 win over Atlético Mineiro. The expected stop is about 4-6 weeks.

The Peixe number 10 had been back on the field for just a week after overcoming a previous injury that kept him off the field for a month and a half. The new physical problem emerged in the 32nd minute of the match, when Neymar asked for a change after feeling discomfort in his thigh. Diagnostic tests confirmed the new injury, distinct from the previous one, but still significant.

The Brazilian club released an official note explaining the situation: “After recovering from a muscle injury and resuming training to increase muscle mass, Neymar Jr. returned to the field in Santos FC’s victory over Atlético MG. However, he felt a new discomfort in his left thigh in the first half. Instrumental tests confirmed a new injury to the semimembranosus muscle. The estimated recovery time is between 4 and 6 weeks.”

The player has already started the rehabilitation process at the CT Rei Pelé Sports Center. Santos fans and soccer lovers are hoping for a speedy, but most importantly, definitive recovery for a talent too often held back by injuries.
