MotoGp, Aprilia: Jorge Martin’s return to track remains an'unknown

Jorge Martin’s long-awaited return to the track will not materialize at the MotoGp Portuguese Grand Prix: in fact, Aprilia has confirmed that the defending world champion of the premier class will still be absent in order to recover as best as possible from yet another bad injury of a 2025 to forget for the Spanish centaur.
“Aprilia Racing has confirmed that Jorge Martín will miss the Grand Prix of Portugal to continue on his path of recovery – reads the note published on MotoGp channels on Monday.
The Spaniard fractured his collarbone in a fall that occurred during the Sprint of the Japanese Grand Prix, and was forced to stop in Motegi, Indonesia, Australia and Malaysia”.
Two appointments still remain available for Martin as far as 2025 is concerned: the final race weekend, scheduled in Valencia in mid-November, and post-season testing, which will also take place at the Ricardo Tormo circuit on Nov. 18. Two engagements, by the way, that will not see the presence of the 2025 world champion, Marc Marquez.
All season long, Jorge Martin has completed just five race weekends, racing in the Czech Republic, Austria, Hungary, Catalonia and Misano. His best result was fourth place in the Balaton long race, where he came close to a podium finish behind Marc Marquez, Pedro Acosta, and Marco Bezzecchi.
The race was held in the Czech Republic.
