Lewis Hamilton expressed positive feelings after the third day of testing in Bahrain for Ferrari. In three days, the team gathered different information about the SF-26, totaling 423 laps and accumulating a lot of data that will be analyzed in the coming days, ahead of the second part of the test. Hamilton finished with the third fastest time in Friday’s testing: a time of 1’34″209 is the best of the tests so far for Ferrari.

The SF26 showed a consistent race pace, and the seven-time world champion tried different types of tires. “The SF-26 felt generally good, but this generation of single-seater is quite complex and finding the right window of use, especially with the tires, is crucial. Overall, it was a positive week. We completed a lot of laps and ran the entire program, which allowed us to collect a lot of useful data and get to know the car better”.

“We have identified areas where we can improve– continued the British driver. “We have discovered several things about the car and we still have another testing session ahead of us, which will be important to build on what we have learned so far and continue to make progress”

Luca FranzosiFerrari, new season starts with surprising divorce

Lewis Hamilton is ready to start from scratch.
Having archived an extremely complicated 2025 season, his first in Ferrari, the seven-time world champion approaches the new championship with a renewed spirit.
Important changes, not only on the track, but also within one’s entourage.

In fact, according to reports in the Daily Mail, Hamilton has reportedly severed his working relationship with Marc Hynes.
Let’s talk about the historical assistant and figurehead in managing his career.
The separation would be linked to Hynes’ possible entry into Cadillac, a team set to debut in Formula 1 in 2026.
It remains to be clarified whether Hynes will continue to be involved, at least in part, in Lewis’s off-track affairs.
The former Formula 3 driver served as chief executive officer of Project 44, the company that looks after the Briton’s interests, from 2015 to 2021.
Just last year, he had played a central role in the day-to-day management of the Ferrari driver’s racing activities.
After an initial separation five years ago, the two had resumed their collaboration, but the professional relationship now seems to have ended again.

Leclerc on Thursday tried to make a first hierarchy: “Red Bull has shown very impressive things since the beginning of testing. Mercedes also, but I think they are hiding more. From where I stand, ahead are Red Bull and Mercedes, then us, but the gap doesn”t seem too wide for now.

On the rule change: “It is not the most fun car I have ever driven, but I find pleasure in the challenge of developing a completely new system. It is interesting to be able to think outside the box and try to maximize performance in different ways”.
