MotoGp, Aprilia: Aleix Espargaró still believes in MotoGP.
The Aprilia rider has to make up 20 points to Fabio Quartararo
Aleix Espargaró is still in the race for the MotoGP victory. A few days away from the Philip Island GP, the Spaniard spoke at a press conference, stressing that he will try until the last.
“On fast tracks the Aprilia has been very competitive, so here I think the bike can adapt well and work well. I’m looking forward to testing it. I think with our aerodynamic load, Turn 1 will go better for us and so will the last corner. The bike is also much stronger in the straights this year. The lowerer will not affect the lap, more important is the tire temperature,” began the Aprilia bearer.
“It is not easy to attack without making mistakes, but it is the moment of truth. It will not be easy to recover 20 points. I will do my best, it will not be enough to be consistent and we have to attack,” stressed Aleix Espargaró, showing that he believes in winning the MotoGP, at least as long as the math allows.
Finally a technical comment on the fairing: “We will have to see, we have never tried it with so much wind and we have to understand if it will give us disadvantages. So far it has been positive. We also have the old hull here.”
