Carlo Ancelotti is sure: Real Madrid is the best team in 2022

Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti, in a press conference, commented on the Best Club of 2022 award given to Manchester City and Karim Benzema’s winning of the Ballon d’Or.

The Italian coach wanted to have his say: “Manchester City best club of 2022 and Real Madrid third according to the Ballon d’Or jury? I don’t know the criteria well, but the best team was Real Madrid, who won the Champions League.”

Ancelotti also returned to the double challenge of the last Champions League, which the Blancos won against Guardiola’s men: “Beating them cost us a lot, we did it through small details.”

Then the former AC Milan coach among others spent a few words for the 2022 Ballon d’Or winner, Karim Benzema: “He is a player who has much more responsibility and feels much more like a leader in this team than he did eight years ago. Technically he has not changed much, because his quality is the same as before. What has changed is his attitude and his sense of responsibility, he is much more of a leader.”
