Technical director Massimo Carca has summoned nine athletes for the men’s World Cup opening giant slalom scheduled for Sunday, October 23, on the Rettenbach glacier in Soelden, Aut.
They are Giovanni Borsotti, Luca De Aliprandini, Filippo Della Vite, Giovanni Franzoni, Alex Hofer, Simon Maurberger, Dominik Paris, Riccardo Tonetti and Hannes Zingerle.
The first heat is scheduled at 10 a.m., the second at 1 p.m., live telecast on Raisport and Eurosport.
The Italian team boasts among the men two podiums in history with Massimiliano Blardone second in 2004 and Manfred Moelgg second in 2012.
