Atalanta knocked out, nervousness for Gian Piero Gasperini at the end of the game
First loss of the season, and some nervousness at the end of the game.
Gian Piero Gasperini analyzed the loss his Atalanta suffered at the Gewiss Stadium against Lazio in a press conference. The Nerazzurri had yet to lose in Serie A this season, but the coach from Grugliasco categorically denied that he considered the match against the Biancocelesti the worst of his management in Bergamo.
“I think it’s a bit out of place to say this,” Gasperini responded to specific questions. “It’s true that we struggled, but there was a moment when the game looked like it could be reopened. However, I have the impression that we are a bit out of phase.”
Gasperini then paid tribute to the excellent Lazio seen in Bergamo: “We had not yet faced a team that plays like this. I am referring in particular to their way of setting up ball possession and exchanges. However, this is a defeat that will help us find directions. It will be very useful for us.”
