Virtus Bologna, Sergio Scariolo already looking to Madrid
Sergio Scariolo is already thinking about the upcoming Euroleague trip
The clear success against NutriBullet Treviso (97-71) made Sergio Scariolo’s Sunday more than satisfactory, who with his Virtus Segafredo Bologna also celebrates the hook-up to the first place in the standings (co-habiting with Tortona). The coach of the Black Vu’s, however, does not want any slumps and is already thinking of spurring his team ahead of the Euroleague trip to Madrid this week against Real.
“We put the game on the right tracks from the beginning,” Scariolo said at the end of the match. “26 assists on 38 baskets is a very good figure, we took advantage of the lead to give minutes to everyone. But now we have to think about climbing Everest, in the Euroleague.”
On the injury situation, Scariolo went on to explain, “At best we will have everyone available for Madrid, on Tuesday we can confirm in case. Hackett and Cordinier have a few more problems, Jaiteh and Shengelia have trained and are further along.”
“It’s a very long season, we know it will be difficult in the Euroleague but we hope to win as many games as possible. We have to be humble and aware of what we can do,” Scariolo concluded.
