Serie A, Milan slams into grigiorosso wall: Napoli on the run
Great game by home goalkeeper, Marco Carnesecchi
What had succeeded just two hours earlier for Napoli was not replicated by Milan. In the late afternoon match, Spalletti’s lineup had needed a contested penalty kick to unlock the game against the organized and grim Empolese defense: instead, the Rossoneri, after a game conducted constantly on the attack, failed to break through the Grigiorosso wall, thus losing two bloody points in the already difficult run-up to the highly-launched Neapolitans.
At the ‘Zini’ in Cremona, a match that ended in untouched goals saw in Marco Carnesecchi, the goalkeeper of the Under 21 team in force for the Lombardi, the best on the field. Especially in the first half, but also in the second half, the Atalanta-owned talent in fact barred his goal in turn to all the Rossoneri forwards. In vain were the attempts of Pioli’s boys, who tried everything by also inserting Lazetic in the final.
The result was not unlocked, and so Milan has to deal with a ranking that now sees Napoli in the runaway at +8 after 14 matches.
