Inter, Beppe Marotta unbalances on Milan Skriniar’s renewal
Marotta to unbalance on Slovak defender
Inter CEO Beppe Marotta spoke on the sidelines of the presentation of journalist Marco Bellinazzo’s book in Milan’s Piazza Duomo about the situation related to the renewal of Milan Skriniar, who is permanently wearing the captain’s armband this season.
“In his regard there is great respect, we feel we are dealing with a professional of great value. We have been negotiating for some time, however, next to him there are also others who are expiring and all of them deserve to stay, but unfortunately business logic does not allow us to do so. On his renewal, however, I am optimistic,” admitted the manager of the Milanese company.
“The talk about renewals? I meant to talk about a model that sees us at a disadvantage compared to other leagues, but this does not mean that good players should not be confirmed. Absolutely. But compared to the 2000s, when we were a benchmark league, the competitive scenarios have changed. Who will I root for at the World Cup? I’m rooting for good soccer and entertainment. People want to have fun,” the former Juventus CEO continued.
