Ferrari, Vasseur new team principal: Carlos Sainz puts his hands up
The Ferrarista I commented on Vasseur’s arrival.
A day after the official announcement of the appointment of Frederic Vasseur as Ferrari’s new team principal, Maranello stable driver Carlos Sainz had his say on the arrival of the Frenchman, with whom he has already had telephone contact.
“I called him yesterday, I had my first contact as a Ferrari driver. I know he will do well. It is a change that I hope will be positive. Whenever a new person joins the team there is always extra motivation to do well and the team will try to take another step forward.” said the Spaniard in words reported by ‘FormulaPassion’.
Then Sainz explained how time will have to be given to settle in to the former Alfa Romeo team principal: “Ferrari is a giant, there are 1,300 people and we have to give Fred time. He will need time to understand what changes the team needs, but I have heard very good things about him and I know him personally because he wanted to hire me to go to Renault, we had contacts and negotiations.”
