Valentino Rossi, Marc Marquez reveal a sensational episode
Marc Marquez cites 2014 incident, “I set the track record at the Ranch, and the relationship cooled from there.”
Marc Marquez no-holds-barred on Valentino Rossi: in a documentary on Prime Video, the Catalan rider returned to talk about his relationship with the Doctor, his former idol. The Catalan rider traces the origin of the enmity back to a year before the fatal 2015: “In 2014 after Misano I was invited to the Ranch. There I set the track record and from that thing our relationship cooled, I don’t know why, maybe it bothered him.”
A few days ago the eight-time world champion in an interview on the TV program ‘Viajando con Chester’ had been very harsh with Valentino Rossi about what happened in 2015: “I was 22 years old, more than 10 less than him who was the more experienced one. During the press conference from Malaysia, he publicly attacked me. For me it was a lack of respect, I was shocked. In the race he hit me and it was not accidental. He did it because he lost his temper. It can happen to bump into another driver because of a wrong trajectory. But it is not accidental to corner a rival on the track and hit him in the leg. This is a deliberate act.”
