Genoa takes down Spal in the second half, Bari and Reggina also ok
All win behind the leader, only Südtirol brakes.
Genoa responds to Frosinone’s knockout and beats Spal in a non-trivial game. It ends 3-0 at the Marassi, with the Grifone moving to within -9 of the leader and, more importantly, staying ahead of Bari and Reggina, themselves victorious but chasing in third and fourth place in Serie B.
The Ligurian Rossoblù thus maintain the second position that will give them direct promotion to Serie A at the end of the season, but the match is only unlocked in the final. In fact, Genoa’s three goals came in the 77th minute with Dragusin and then in the dying minutes (in the 93rd minute Gudmundsson scored, even in the 96th minute Salcedo). Instead, 3 points away from direct promotion is Bari, victorious 2-0 on the field of an increasingly in trouble Brescia: Benedetti (21′) and Scheidler (93′) scored. One point less for Reggina, fourth after a 2-1 home win over Modena (goals by Pierozzi and Strelec, momentary tie by Tremolada).
Südtirol drops to fifth place, forced by Palermo to a home draw: altoatesini immediately ahead with Cissé (5′), Soleri responds in the 48th minute. Draw also for Cagliari, which in Venice stops at 0-0 and currently closes the playoff zone. On the other hand, the challenge in Terni ends 2-1, but for Cittadella: the internal knockout led Aurelio Andreazzoli to submit his resignation. Exiting the playout zone is Como, which was able to beat last-place Cosenza 5-1.
