Max Verstappen, frontal attack: world champion dismantles Las Vegas
Max Verstappen, harsh words on Las Vegas Gp
Max Verstappen even the idea of racing in Las Vegas just does not like it. He said so himself, in very harsh words, to 'The Race' portal, expressing his irritation with the schedule and the layout of the circuit, without then hiding the embarrassment he felt during the Gp presentation ceremony in 'Sin City'.
"It's 99 percent show and 1 percent sporting event,” the three-time world champion began. I don't like what there's around this Gp. Of course, I am looking forward to giving my best but at the same time I am not looking forward to this event in sé".
Verstappen spoke in negative terms about the presentation ceremony, later specifying that he did not attend the 'red carpet' following because he had no interest in doing so. "The presentation ceremony? For me, all such events can be avoided,” he said. “I was there, standing: I looked like a clown".
The Dutch champion finally specified: "I have no problem with it being run in Las Vegas. It è not a suitable event for me, but I don’t want to influence anyone. I understand that it is necessary to look at both the business side and the sports side. Mine è just an'opinion".
