Ferrari disaster in qualifying for the Canadian GP. The two Ferraris did not reach Q3. The consequence? Heavy. Leclerc will start from 11th place on the grid, ahead of teammate Sainz. A resounding step backward from the Monaco GP.

"Using the last set of red tires? I have to see the data, but the real problem è that we were always between 8° and 12° time, then one lap we did it too early and after that I found a McLaren in the middle of turn 10. I am pissed, but putting it all together the truth è è that we were not fast enough", the words of a very nervous Leclerc at the end of qualifying to Sky Sports.

Definitely not satisfied even the Team principal of the Cavallino Vasseur: "Use in Q2 the'last set of reds? Everyone had one, except Mercedes, and it was needed for Q3: we didn&#39t have a chance to use it. The race? We have a good pace, both in the dry and in the wet and let&#39s focus on that: a lot forò will dependà on the weather".

He is echoed by Sainz, also the protagonist of less-than-sparkling qualifying: "Only with a perfect lap could we have qualified in Q3. We were really on the limit and not è where we wanted to be. We understood that we were going to suffer already at the end of the third free practice". In short, a disaster. Fortunately, in Canada, we canò dream of the great comeback in the race but we will need; a definitely different Ferrari than the one we saw in qualifying.
