Juventus fans are upsetting Luciano Spalletti

“I would have liked to play more today.” Luciano Spalletti makes no secret of his dissatisfaction following the intra-squad match between Juventus and Next Gen, which the Bianconeri won 2-0 but that lasted only one half. The coach would have liked to make better use of the opportunity to get some playing time under their belts and work on the team’s tactics, but the traditional pitch invasion cut everything short much earlier than expected. “Last night I met families who had come from all over Italy and could have enjoyed more of the show. They could have also seen the players who came on in the second half, who were equally eager for this experience.”
“We needed to train more, but we’ll do that in the coming days,” Spalletti explained to Sky Sport. He then made a remark about his meeting with John Elkann: “I went back to being the assistant. I stayed quiet to listen to what he had to say. The questions he asked showed he’s smart.”
The Juventus coach then addressed the transfer market, starting with the arrival of Guglielmo Vicario. “I’m pleased with his arrival; he was one of the players we had our sights set on. We’re happy because we know him, and he’s shown great maturity despite still being young. His recent spell at Tottenham wasn’t positive, and it’s not entirely clear why, but we consider him a top-tier player.”
Spalletti also spoke about Lucumi and the competition within the squad: “As much as possible, we’ve signed players who fit our system. His arrival—and not just his—allows us to have competition for every position and for players to earn their spots.”
