Varese basketball, appeal ready for one disqualified person
Appeal ready for Markel Brown
Pallacanestro Varese, fresh from its great home win over Dinamo Sassari in the match valid for the first day of the championship, has announced that it intends to move for the disqualification imposed on Markel Brown.
“Pallacanestro Varese communicates that it will appeal against the two-day disqualification imposed on Markel Brown,” reads the Lombard club’s note.
In addition to the red and white club and the U.S. guard, Banco di Sardegna Sassari and Croatian Filip Kruslin, unlike Brown, who was suspended for only one day, were also affected.
Those disqualified after the first day of the A basketball championship:
DE MARIOUS MARKEL BROWN (OPENJOBMETIS VARESE athlete). Disqualification for two games for mutually insulting an opposing athlete at the end of the game and then pushing him with a hand to the chest [art. 33.1/1b RG, art. 33.1/1c RG].
FILIP KRUSLIN (athlete BANCO DI SARDEGNA SASSARI). Disqualified for one game for insulting each other with an opposing athlete at the end of the game. Replaced with a fine of €3,000.00 [art. 33.1/1b RG, art. 24.2b RG, art. 14.4 RG].
