Brazil, Neymar injury: greenoro champion breaks silence
Neymar breaks silence
First the TV images of the swollen ankle, then the media fears, and finally the ruling issued directly by Brazil’s medical staff: Neymar suffered, against Serbia, a ligamentous injury to his right ankle and will be forced to miss the remaining two matches of round G, against Switzerland and Cameroon.
The Greenoro champion broke his silence on Friday evening, speaking personally about the knockout: “I cannot explain in words the pride and love I feel when I wear the Brazil jersey,” he wrote. “If God gave me the chance to choose a country to be born in, it would be Brazil. Nothing in my life was given to me or was easy, I always had to pursue my dreams and goals. I have never wished evil on anyone, but I have always tried to help those in need. Today is one of the most difficult moments of my career — and it still happened in a World Cup.”
“I am injured, it will hurt but I am sure I will have the chance to come back because I will do my best to help my country, my teammates and myself,” Neymar added. “If I will get down? Never! I am a child of the God of the impossible and my faith is infinite.”
